Energy-saving & easy on your back

Up until now, no harness has met my expectations for a long expedition – a harness that doesn’t strain the back and pulls weight as efficiently as possible.

This is why, together with the paragliding manufacturer Advance, I developed my own harness which can handle loads up to 200 kg and is suitable for kiting through a removable, additional sling.

This harness I have used on my 2007 Franz Josef Land Expedition, in which I handled kayaks with loads of 180kg.

This harness comes in handy for smaller adventures, given that our back is one of the most sensitive parts of our body. While towing a sledge, it’s very important that we pull with our full torso, not just the lower body. Through this, the vertebrae and spinal discs are not strained; the weight is equally distributed over the torso and the shoulders. Even during short trips the difference can be felt and future back problems can be prevented.
